Bengong Fresh [$7.80]
Honeydew Creme [$5]
How cute does the mini milk tea look! From my experience, I'm normally not a huge fan of oolong drinks but this blew me away with how amazing it tastes. Sugar and ice levels are adjustable but what's really cool are the tea cube toppings which you can choose up to two flavours. Strawberry, Peach, Lychee, Coffee, Coconut and a mystery flavour. It's a bold statement to make but pearls are out, in with the tea cubes!
I love how creative they are with combining fruit with bread. The melon bread is filled with melon flavoured cream and honeydew balls that could probably pass as a meal rather than a dessert. Seasonal fruit contributes to the freshness and the end result is a product that is unique and delicious to eat. There are several flavours of these breads hence I recommend sharing with friends to try them all.
I don't have a favourite bakery in Sydney but now I can confirm that Bengong Black has taken the top spot. Although bubble teas aren't considered their specialty, I would say that they are able to rival against some of the big bubble tea chain stores in the CBD.
