Cuppa Flower is a cafe that will fulfil your stomach's desires. A popular choice in the Waterloo neighbourhood, you can eat to your hearts content at this instagrammable cafe that is a combined florist shop. Look out for their signature dishes such as their special rice noodles and make sure to peek at the little counter of cakes next to the register. I can't guarantee that you won't give in to the cake temptation, because that's certainly what happened to me.
Starting off with my main meal was the crispy pork. It was delicious and I loved the attention to detail that was put into this dish. The cherry tomato skin had been peeled off and arranged nicely to compliment the dish. The pork had a nice coating of what seemed like sweet and sour sauce on top. Along with a colourful selection of veggies and brown rice that kept you feeling fuller for longer. Only available on weekends!
The ever so popular Ricotta Pancakes that's served with Cuppa Flower homemade mixed berries jam, ricotta cheese, crunchy honeycomb, mascarpone cheese, fresh fruits and maple syrup was a plate of goodness that was waiting to be devoured. Each component of this dish balanced one another and the pancakes were moist and soft. That's a big thumbs up from me.
If there's one item that I have to order when coming here, it's got to be the totoro cakes. Who can resist how cute they look? Almost too cute to eat! Available in two sizes and flavours: small and big, matcha and sesame. These are on the slightly drier side but still retains a light and airy texture making it easy to bite into. I thought these tasted really nice with a hint of green tea flavour that matched the creamy centre. This is recommended for people that enjoy lighter tasting cakes.

If you want bolder flavours, try out the oreo crepe cake! It's on the sweeter side but not heavy. I was initially worried that it'd be one of those cakes that looked nice but lacked flavour. Luckily it wasn't, and completely exceeded my expectations. Keen to try the sesame versions next time.
Cuppa Flower has an amazing selection of cakes and food that not only look aesthetically pleasing but also taste good. A second branch opened in Chippendale under the name Fika by Cuppa Flower, which is equally as stunning. More recently, Cuppa Flower has expanded yet again and welcomed a new store in Mascot. It continues the florist and cafe concept. Make sure to pay a visit if you have time!
