Kepos Street Kitchen Review

I don't know much about Israeli food but when an award winning chef is working at Kepos Street Kitchen, it's not even a question. You just go. Having established a following as one of the best cafes in Redfern, it's hard to find a fault with this place. From their brightly lit interior to their friendly staff, you'll more than likely be going back for seconds.

From Redfern Station be prepared for a 20 minute walk if you choose to go without public transport. It was fairly empty when we arrived at midday but picked up soon after. This is also a pet friendly cafe so expect fluffy visitors to pop in and out. And who can resist that? They'll definitely bring joy to your day!

Sometimes simplicity is best and my salad embodies this. Unlike your typical salads, don't expect dressing. It's the egg and salmon that adds flavour to the otherwise subtleness of the salad and were the main highlights to this dish. A suitable option for the health conscious or those that are looking for a light meal.

You Are One In A Melon

I decided to change things up and skip my usual latte for a watermelon juice infused with mint, lemongrass, honey and lime. This was really refreshing and a great way to finish the meal. It even came with a slice of real watermelon! Definitely give this one a go if you're into juices or a drink that's caffeine free.

My friend's Shakshuka looked amazing and she really enjoyed her meal. Once you try a shakshuka, you can never go back again so if you're still after a healthy alternative that's not a salad, this is the one for you.
